Leaving the audience wanting more...
Friday 27th January 2012
Many drinks were sunk and many songs were sung. One of the best audiences at the Jug & Glass, Mansfield Woodhouse the band has had the pleasure of playing to. They experienced our widest mixture of material to date in a bumper 32 song gig that included 3 encores that went well past scheduled bedtime. Landlord Eric wants us back there in a couple of months - 'top-drawer' was his words. In a night that included singing, drinking, dancing and the shedding of bras..say no more ;)
Were you at the gig and want to have your say? Then follow us on Twitter or Facebook.

Bank Holiday Week Blog
Sunday 28th & Monday 29th August
Crammed our rig into the Crates & Grapes Wine Bar on the Sunday evening after our drummer had trouble with wind LOL. Cymbals v the gale force winds. Gale force winds won. So we set up inside and had a great time. Then on Monday afternoon we played Church Warsop Sports & Social Club for our good friend Matty! Some of us stayed on well into the night to watch the rock band 'Warrior' after us.. Aah such good times these!
Then on Saturday 3rd September we played The Gate in Warsop for the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) fundraising event.
A big 'Thank you' to all who attended these gigs and hope to see you at the next outing.. Signing out.. the band xx.

Headstock will be back playing at the club on Bank Holiday Monday 29th August from 3pm - see you there!
Marathon Gig on Carnival Day!
Sunday 3rd July
We played the Crates & Grapes Wine Bar in Warsop, unveiling our new drummer, Alan. The gig went on a marathon five hours in total, on a warm summer's evening, playing in front of a great audience. We received a terrific reception and we thank you for all your support with people dancing, singing along and having a good time. Special thanks go to Dom and Con for their two songs - to give our fingers and voices a rest. Also thanks go to Tina for her great rendition of Mustang Sally! If anyone has any good photos of the event please forward to our email address.. See you all at the next gig.. xx
Headstock announce new drummer!
Sunday 5th June
Headstock are very pleased to announce the addition of a new member to the band, Alan Poskett, who we welcome to the group. Alan is an experienced drummer and his musicianship will be a great asset to the band so make sure to look out for him at our next gig!
Hare & Hounds was rockin' - eventually
Saturday 21st May
Now we really hoped for fine dry weather which is what we got but having some form of electricity would also have helped! We managed to only do 3 songs outdoors before the 2 hour powercut across Warsop left us in the lurch. We took this opportunity to set up inside for an evening gig. After a few technical problems and in the face of adversity we were determined to get the show going. The gig went well, very well infact, and the day ended on a big high and felt like a great party atmosphere inside. A big Thank You to everyone on the night and the many fantastic comments and compliments that came our way.. especially from the girl who loves guitars you helped make our night! We love you all xx. View Headstock Band Gallery for the pics of the outdoor gig.
St. George's Day - A scorching success
Saturday 23rd April
We played for a sweltering 4 hours at the Crates & Grapes Wine Bar on the High Street in Warsop. It was a fine day competing with the loudness of the passing buses! But we did it and it finished on a great high with the public enjoying the novelty of having a live band playing on their local high street.
We would like to give a great big thank you for all the support we received throughout the afternoon! In fact, we were lucky we got away without playing on into the evening! Many thanks to the wine bar for the constant refreshment that afternoon too - we couldn't have done without it !
